Case Dismissed!

After nearly two years of contentious litigation, Jeff James, assisted by Laura Edwards and Nate Bailey, succeeded in obtaining summary judgment for our client. The Plaintiff claimed he was wrongfully terminated based on alleged whistle blowing activity. The person who made the termination decision had no knowledge that the Plaintiff engaged in any protective activity, but the Plaintiff alleged a complicated conspiracy theory in which co-workers and customers wrongfully influenced the decision maker to terminate the Plaintiff in retaliation for the alleged whistle blowing. After carefully wading through the undisputed facts, the trial judge agreed that Plaintiff’s conspiracy theory amounted to conjecture and dismissed the case prior to the start of trial.
