The Slowly Turning Wheels of Justice

Jeff James recently received a favorable letter from the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) dismissing a Discrimination Charge against one of our clients. The Charge was filed in December 2007! After promptly responding that the employer lacked the requisite number of employees for the EEOC to assert jurisdiction, Jeff waited for the EEOC to make the next move. More than 28 months passed before the EEOC finally acknowledged that they lacked jurisdiction and dismissed the Charge.
