SBJ has done it again. The trial team of Jeff James, Jen Parda, and Eve Rashby brought in what amounts to the third successful jury verdict in four months. The case involved a claim of marital status discrimination brought by two employees who were separated from working together after they married because one supervised the other. Jeff and Jen originally got the case thrown out on summary judgment, but Division II of the Court of Appeals reversed. Eight years after marrying, the plaintiffs finally got their day in court (actually, the trial spanned two weeks). It took the jury a mere one hour and ten minutes of deliberating to return a unanimous verdict for our client!
