Two for Two! SBJ brings in back-to-back Jury Verdicts

In what can best be described as 90% exhausting and 10% exhilarating, two SBJ trial teams brought in successive jury verdicts in a 10-week period. In the first matter, Jeff JamesNate Bailey and Eve Rashby, assisted by SBJ staff members, completed a three-week jury trial in Pierce County Superior Court. On April 18, 2014 we obtained a 12-0 defense verdict and we won over $500,000 for our client on its counterclaim, plus attorney fees. The plaintiff was represented by Michael Droke and Aaron Goldstein of Dorsey & Whitney, LLP.

In the second matter, Jeff JamesJennifer Parda, and Christy Kirchmeier, again, with the assistance of our staff members, obtained a 12-0 defense verdict on May 30, 2014 after a three-week trial, this time in King County Superior Court. The plaintiff was represented by Jack Sheridan of McDonald, Hoague & Bayless. Amazingly (or not), it took the jury barely an hour to rule in our clients’ favor. Let the champagne corks pop!
